Strength, Not Our Own

Isaiah 40:28-31

"Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of heaven and earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.

He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.

Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary."

God has no obstacle to accomplish what He pleases. We are weak but His Spirit is strong in us.
Even in times of intensity and change, His strength does not fail.

Philippians 1:6
"For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."

God is the very one who began and will finish our salvation. He produces fruit in us as we abide in Him, He is good, even in our darkest times. Even in discouragement.

A great song called, His Eye Is On The Sparrow goes like this:

Why should I be discouraged? Why should the shadows come? Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heaven and home? When Jesus is my portion, my constant friend is He. For His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me.

Cast your cares upon Jesus and be anxious for nothing.

God bless !
